The Padma Purana account (via Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham) assigns the ten-faced bead to Maha Vishnu, specifically invoking his ten avataras (Dasavatara), with a devotional mantra to Narayana. Unlike most other mukhis, sources do not agree on a single ruling navagraha planet for this bead: some charts list none, others describe it as balancing or governing all nine planets together. Described here as tradition, not as a guaranteed effect.
