The Padma Purana account (via Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham) assigns the thirteen-faced bead to Indra and Kamadeva jointly, without giving a mantra. Independent astrology and rudraksha reference charts consistently name Indra as the primary deity and Venus as the ruling planet, sometimes citing Kamadeva as a secondary attribution — a natural pairing, since Venus (Shukra) is itself associated with desire, beauty, and relationships in Vedic astrology. Described here as tradition, not as a guaranteed effect.
