From the Certified Mukhi Beads edit, this piece carries 8 faces, or mukhi — in tradition the bead of Ganesha, held under Rahu. Some keep it on for a fixed practice each morning; others simply leave it on and forget it is there. Simple care keeps it looking right — a dry cloth, no chemicals, and no direct sun for long stretches. Some wear it on its own; others add it to a piece they already have — either way, it's built to be lived in.

Read by hand: we count the 8 mukhi (faces) on the bead ourselves — there is no external document behind that reading.
The Padma Purana account (via Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham) assigns the eight-faced bead to Ganesha, ruled by Rahu, with the mantra rendered as Om Ganeshaya Namah; other reference charts give the mantra as Om Hum Namah. The Ganesha–Rahu pairing itself is consistent across sources. Described here as tradition, not as a guaranteed effect.
Seed of the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree, worn as a prayer bead across Hindu and Buddhist tradition. Natural beads vary in colour and grain and may deepen with wear — a mark of a real bead, not a fault.
Keep away from water, perfume and harsh chemicals. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and store flat, away from direct sunlight. Rudraksha and other natural beads may deepen in tone with wear — this is expected, and part of how a piece becomes yours.
