This one, from the Rudraksha Pendants edit, shows 6 mukhi, the form tradition gives to Kartikeya under Venus. It carries the form of Murugan, kept as a fixed point to return to through the day. Kept on through the day, it works less as ornament and more as a steady point of focus — the cosmos held close, the earth still underfoot. It's a small, steady addition to how you already dress, not a statement on its own. It asks for very little upkeep — avoid water and strong scents, and store it flat when it's not being worn.

Read by hand: we count the 6 mukhi (faces) on the bead ourselves — there is no external document behind that reading.
The Padma Purana account (via Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham) assigns the six-faced bead to Kartikeya, ruled by Venus (Shukra), with a mantra rendered as Om Hreem Hroom (commonly written elsewhere as Om Hreem Hum Namah). The Rudrakshajabala Upanishad separately names the six-faced bead's rulers as Kartikeya or Ganesha, associating it with health, prosperity, and intellect. Per Britannica, Murugan is the chief deity of the ancient Tamils of South India, historically linked to the warrior goddess Korravai and later identified with the North Indian war god Skanda; his weapon is the vel (spear) and his banner carries a wild-fowl emblem. Described here as tradition, not as a guaranteed effect.
Seed of the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree, worn as a prayer bead across Hindu and Buddhist tradition. Natural beads vary in colour and grain and may deepen with wear — a mark of a real bead, not a fault.
The pendant form's conceptual template is old: medieval reliquary pendants were made to hold fragments of saints' relics, establishing the idea of a precious, meaningful object worn close to the body at chest level. By the 16th century, portrait miniatures migrated into jewelry as secular pendant lockets, and by the Victorian era pendants and lockets had become a primary vehicle for sentiment, memory, and mourning in the West. Open to any devotee regardless of age or gender; choice of deity or symbol is generally personal (Ishta Devata) rather than restricted by tradition.
Keep away from water, perfume and harsh chemicals. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and store flat, away from direct sunlight. Rudraksha and other natural beads may deepen in tone with wear — this is expected, and part of how a piece becomes yours.
