Picked for the Mangalsutra line, this piece is set in silver, plain and unfussy. Beyond that, it is cut to sit well on women. Most people wear it as quiet attention turned inward, in keeping with staying aligned with the cosmos and rooted in the earth. However you come to it, the piece is meant to be worn, not shelved. Water, perfume and rough handling are the only real things to avoid — otherwise it's a low-maintenance piece.

Described from what the piece plainly is — its material, form and finish, seen on the item itself.
Set in 925 sterling silver (92.5% silver). Where a piece carries a BIS hallmark it is stated on its listing. Natural beads vary in colour and grain and may deepen with wear — a mark of a real bead, not a fault.
Mangalsutra combines Sanskrit maṅgala ('auspicious, propitious') and sūtra ('thread/cord'). It is tied by the groom around the bride's neck during the wedding ritual known as Mangalya Dharanam ('wearing the auspicious'), after which it is worn by the woman for the remainder of the marriage as a visual marker of marital status. Worn by married Hindu women across most Indian regions and diaspora communities, put on at the wedding ceremony and generally worn continuously thereafter; conventions on when it may be removed vary by region and family.
Keep away from water, perfume and harsh chemicals. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and store flat, away from direct sunlight. Rudraksha and other natural beads may deepen in tone with wear — this is expected, and part of how a piece becomes yours.
