Anklets
₹ 6,000
One from VIZHEE's Anklets range, this piece runs as a double strand, counted rather than guessed at. Beyond that, it is set in silver, plain and unfussy. It is cut to sit well on women. It earns its place through wear, not through being looked at — worn daily, it's rooted in the earth as much as aimed at the cosmos. It's a piece to reach for without thinking, once it becomes part of how you get dressed. A soft cloth and a dry, sunlight-free spot are all the care it really needs.

Described from what the piece plainly is — its material, form and finish, seen on the item itself.
Set in 925 sterling silver (92.5% silver). Where a piece carries a BIS hallmark it is stated on its listing. Natural beads vary in colour and grain and may deepen with wear — a mark of a real bead, not a fault.
Known as payal, pajeb, or jhanjhar depending on region (Sanskrit nūpura, Tamil silambu — the latter word derived from silambal, 'to make sound'), the anklet is traditionally made in silver rather than gold; gold is associated with Lakshmi, goddess of wealth, and by convention is not worn below the waist. In many Indian communities, anklets together with toe rings (bichiya) signal that a woman is married, and both are part of Solah Shringar, the traditional sixteen adornments of a bride. Traditionally worn by married women in many Indian communities as a marital marker, and by brides as part of Solah Shringar; young girls may also wear plain anklets as everyday ornament without the marital association.
Keep away from water, perfume and harsh chemicals. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and store flat, away from direct sunlight. Rudraksha and other natural beads may deepen in tone with wear — this is expected, and part of how a piece becomes yours.
