Baby Nazariya

Baby Nazariya — 27 pieces in the VIZHEE Gifting & Occasions collection. Nazariya bracelets and charms for infants — black-bead guards against nazar (the evil eye), given soon after birth. Nazar is a widespread Indian belief that an envious or admiring gaze can cause unintentional harm. A nazariya — typically small black beads with a silver or gold charm — is traditionally given to a newborn within the first weeks of life as a guard against this, a custom found across many Indian households alongside similar amulets in other cultures. Families give a nazariya as a gesture of protective care for a new baby, following custom rather than any tested claim; many also value it simply as a keepsake marking the child's earliest days. A small bracelet, typically strung with black beads, traditionally given to infants as a culturally believed guard against 'nazar' (the evil eye).
